We encourage students to present. This is an opportunity to present in a very supportive atmosphere focused on sharing, connecting, and growth. You can speak about:
Research - your research plans or findings. Presenting your work could allow you to connect with others interested in the same area or practice for that next conference presentation!
Practicum experiences - Our students have such a diverse range of practicum placements, and we would be very pleased to hear about where yours took place and how it went. This is particularly interesting for future practicum students.
You may choose one of the following options. We especially welcome short-form presentations! (Scroll to the end to read why.)
12 minutes for talking + 3 minutes for questions/discussion, with or without slides.
Objective: Explain your research to a non-specialist audience in under 3 minutes.
Visual Aid: One 4:3 slide with no animations, videos, or props.
Content: Skip self-introduction, acknowledgements, and complex data. Focus on clear, simple communication.

Objective: Deliver a concise 5-minute presentation.
Slides: Use up to 5 visual slides (plus a title slide). No text, animations, videos, or sound files. Simple transitions only.
Content: Highlight the most exciting or important aspects of your research..
